Berger’s “All Quiet on the Western Front”

Some people say a true anti-war movie cannot exist because the very making of an anti-war film still romanticises, platforms, and gives credence to the experiences and traumas of war. I understand where this comes from, but at the same time I truly believe that as history moves forward and the current population no longer contains living persons with the memories of the horrors of trench warfare and the early  20th century- films depicting the First World War are actually incredibly important and relevant
